The time it takes to clean a pool depends on the size and condition of the pool. On average, a standard pool cleaning takes about 15-20 minutes.
Monthly pool maintenance typically includes the following:
· Vacuum
· Skimming
· Empty Baskets
· Brush walls and surfaces
· Backwash (2x per month)
· Testing and routine pool chemicals (salt, chlorine, and acid)
Pool service technicians take into consideration all of the following factors when quoting a fee:
No, filter cleanings are billed as a separate charge from the monthly pool maintenance fee.
For leak detections try the Bucket Test. Put a bucket on a top step or shelf in the swimming pool. Fill the same level as the pool. Once the bucket is filled, mark the water level inside the bucket and mark the outside of the bucket to the water level of the swimming pool. Run the pool equipment as normal and check to see if there is a change in the pool water level 24 hours later.
Monthly pool maintenance includes:
· Vacuum
· Skimming
· Empty Baskets
· Brush walls and surfaces
· Backwash (as needed)
Testing and routine pool chemicals (salt, up to 10 gallons of chlorine for commercial pools, and acid).
Service Frequency
· We will provide the above-mentioned services one (1) time per week (commercial shall be as agreed upon between the parties).
· The customer must inform us of any issues or concerns promptly.
Billing
· Our billing schedule is monthly (the first week of each month).
· Invoices will be sent by email.
· We highly recommend making payments electronically by credit card, debit card, digital wallets like Apple Pay or Google Pay, or direct from a bank account (ACH).
Pool Access
· The customer must ensure access to the pool area on scheduled service days, including gate entry codes, lock combinations, security guard verification, and pets relocated from pool/spa area.
· If we are unable to access the service area for any reason, services will not be performed that week; however, the customer will still be billed for the scheduled cleaning service.
Weather
· In the event of inclement weather on the scheduled date of service, pools will be cleaned to the extent weather permits and only chemicals will be added.
· We will still perform all the possible service items on your pool if it is raining. If there is lightning nearby, we will perform certain service items (without using the aluminum pole due to safety concerns). This will still serve as the pool cleaning visit for the week.
Pets
· Customers must make arrangements for any and all pets to be put inside or in a separate area from the pool on the day of service. We cannot take responsibility for pets if they get loose or are injured while we are at your property.
Pool Equipment
· Heaters - We do not make any heater adjustments. If you have any technical questions, please schedule an appointment with a repair technician.
· Pool Water Circulation and Filtration - Proper circulation and filtration throughout the year is required in order to receive service. Circulation helps our algae suppression and water balance chemicals prevent algae and keeps our chemicals maintaining your pool water more naturally. We recommend that our customers run their equipment at least 4-6 hours a day in the Winter Months and at least 8 hours a day during the warmest part of the day between March and October.
· The customer must notify us of any changes to pool equipment or conditions.
Water Level Maintenance
· Water level maintenance is the responsibility of our customers.
· The recommended water level is MID-TILE.
· Low water could mean your pump(s) could incur damage from running dry -- so it is important that water always be kept at a proper level.
Extra Services (not included in monthly service fee)
· Backwash - Backwashing filter maintenance which helps to dislodge and remove any dirt or debris that may have become trapped. Additional backwashing requests would incur an additional charge.
· Repair Service Calls for Diagnosis on Equipment Issues - If we find that your pool equipment is not working properly, we will contact you advising you of the situation.
· Filter Cleaning - It is a requirement for our customers to have their pool filter cleaned by us at a regularly scheduled interval. Filter cleanings are billed as a separate charge from the monthly pool maintenance fee.
· Post-storm/inclement weather debris removal – Debris removal after a tropical storm/hurricane is not included in the monthly maintenance fee and will be billed as a separate charge.
· Emergency services – Services requested or required on holidays or weekends are provided at a separate agreed upon rate, quoted on a case-by-case basis.
Monthly Maintenance Service Rate Changes
· Each year, we may find it necessary to make a rate change in the monthly maintenance fee in order to keep up with the rising costs of chemicals. We will typically give 30-day advance notice if there will be a rate increase. We can offer a 5% discount to any customer who pre-pays for one (1) full year of service.
Vacation/Holidays
· It is customary for the pool service industry to be closed on major Federal Holidays and no service will be provided. In addition to Federal holidays, we will be closed, and no service will be provided Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, and two (2) extra weeks during the year (notice by email will be provided). Our customers are billed monthly; however, there are five (5) weeks in certain months resulting in customers receiving 4-5 extra service days per year. These dates are already accounted for in calculating the monthly service fee, therefore, no credit is due.
· In the event of an emergency, we will make every effort to return calls and answer emails.
· Emergency services are provided at a separate agreed upon rate quoted on a case-by-case basis.
· Our Holiday Schedule
o Memorial Day
o Fourth of July
o Labor Day
o Thanksgiving Week
